Our idea for these often veteran trees is to give them a new lease of life, as this is what makes us happy to know that the products that we make are often a centre piece in homes and live on for generations in families. It is like a seed that has been replanted and will carry on giving.
With the ever-concerning climate change issues, the reliance on imported wood, and all the invasive insects damaging our native trees, we are trying to do our bit for our future generations by using what we have available locally and keeping a little bit of the carbon footprint down.
It’s been heartbreaking to see so much timber over the years turned into firewood and wood chip. Treecycling being a small part of a big industry helps us know we are repurposing and recycling trees, which means we are doing our bit to recycle, and we hope that being part of the industry will help future generations develop into using timber more resourcefully.
We are excited about being involved in the new movement of repurposing timber and showing people there are other ways of using a natural resource that grows on our doorstep.
